Dr. HANS-JOACHIM POESSEL is a renowned consultant orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of extensive experience in diagnosing and surgically treating athletes and patients worldwide. Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and fellowship trained in Sports Medicine, he specializes in shoulder, elbow, knee, and foot surgery, with particular expertise in biomolecular medicine and stem cell treatments.

Licensed to practice medicine in Germany, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and Dubai (DHA), Dr. POESSEL has built an exceptional career spanning Europe and the Middle East. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as a consultant at premier healthcare institutions including Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital, Capital Health Abu Dhabi, HealthBay Policlinic Dubai, and currently practices at Emirates Hospital Day Surgery Abu Dhabi and Adam Vital Hospital Dubai.

His clinical expertise encompasses all aspects of upper extremity surgery (shoulder, elbow, hand), knee and ankle surgery, as well as comprehensive orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. POESSEL is particularly well-known throughout medical and athletic communities for utilizing the most advanced medical technology and minimally invasive procedures possible. He has extensive experience in biological treatments including Platelet Enriched Plasma, Stem Cells (MSC), Bone Marrow Aspirate, and Growth Factors.
